Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sometimes the best ideas are actually mistakes!  Rumor has it that chocolate chip cookies were created at the Toll House Inn when the baker, Ruth Wakefield, substituted semi-sweet dark chocolate chunks for baker’s chocolate. She thought the chocolate would melt into the dough to create chocolate cookies, but luckily for us, it didn’t happen and chocolate chip cookies were born. These cookies are the perfect party pleaser or good for a mid-day snack.  Try them with a glass of ice-cold milk!
